Wellways Australia is the first point of contact for all Australian Government Carer Gateway funded services across Queensland, aiming to help carers access practical information and advice and connect with services in their local area. Carer supports and services are delivered using a network of local Carer Gateway regional service providers Carers and those who provide a caring role to someone in their life who has a disability, mental health issue, chronic health condition, terminal illness or are frail aged.
Shift times available are Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am to 7pm for a 7.6 hour shift …..lots of options to suit your personal commitments and way of life with your weekends free to enjoy!
Working as our Intake and Registration Officer, you will be responsible for undertaking intake and registration services for carers accessing support provided by the Carer Gateway across Queensland. Your primary focus in this role, will be to work with carers mainly over the phone, to access information and complete the intake and registration process.
Reporting to the Team Leader, you will work under limited direction to support carers with a high level of customer service ensuring carers are listened to with patience and non-judgement.
Your warm and caring nature will assist in creating an environment which carers will find welcoming, real and inclusive, whilst you develop support relationships with carers which are positive and are built on Wellways values.
