About the position

The Project Administrator is responsible for providing high level administrative and coordination support to the Melbourne Genomics Health Alliance Management Group. The Project Administrator will work closely with the Executive Coordinator and Chief Operating Officer to ensure efficient and effective operation of the program.

Key duties of the Project Administrator include meeting coordination; supporting financial functions such as invoicing and purchase orders; document management; and administrative support as required.

Knowledge & Experience Requirements:

Essential:

  • Commitment to the Mission of Melbourne Genomics Health Alliance and Values of the organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in a high-level administrative position providing support to a team
  • Innovative and creative with the skills to multitask on an ongoing basis, using available resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate change, possessing a flexible approach to work-related tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent administrative and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to plan and execute projects relevant to the position
  • High-level computer literacy, including Microsoft Office ie Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel, Sharepoint, internet browsers and Adobe Acrobat.
  • High-level attention to detail

Desirable:

  • Experience working within a research environment and/or within large collaborative initiatives

The successful person will be:

  • Committed to supporting and coordinating the broad program of the Melbourne Genomics Health Alliance
  • Be an efficient and organised person who can manage themselves and keep track of the Team's schedule and activities
  • Work well in a team and in close partnerships, as well as independently
  • Be committed to confidentiality, total discretion and integrity
  • Interact effectively with a wide range of people
  • Must be willing to have a Working with Children Check and police records check

Terms of appointment

This position is available for 1 year in a part time capacity at 0.6 FTE. Salary is HEW Level 5 ($72,036 - $82,743). Up to 17% superannuation and very attractive salary packaging options are available.
