WDEA Works is a regional not-for-profit multi-faceted organisation that works together to create all-inclusive communities that embrace and value those with disability or disadvantage. WDEA Works various branches include the Federal Government’s jobactive and Disability Employment Service programs, Social Enterprises, Registered Training Organisation and the WDEA Works Foundation which has distributed over 1 million dollars to various groups around Victoria since 2004.

About the Role

We’re seeking a true transformational leader; someone who is confident, decisive and commercially-minded, who can engage both colleagues and external stakeholders; someone who is motivated, and can motivate.

This role is performance-driven and requires someone with experience managing people and an understanding of what makes good client service. We’re seeking someone who thrives on helping to create and lead a successful, results-driven team environment.

In order to be successful in the role, you will possess:

  • Proven skills and experience in managing staff and providing leadership.

OR Capacity to develop these skills as demonstrated by extensive relevant experience as an employee or employer in a variety of industries and, awareness of the needs of employers and jobseekers in the local labour market

  • Experience in people management and development, including recruitment, performance management and performance reviews.
  • Proven skills and experience in managing targets driven by performance.
  • Understanding of compliance requirements of the Employment Services Deed (JA or DES) including evidence supporting claims, placement and outcomes.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including skills of negotiation and liaison, and the ability to work in partnership with clients to assess their needs and to develop strategies to meet these needs.
  • High level of professionalism in organising work and time-management.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and exercise initiative and creativity in achieving desired outcomes for clients and WDEA Works.
  • General computer literacy and proficiency in applications such as MS Windows, MS Word and Internet essential.
  • Current Victorian Driver's licence essential.
