As we are experiencing growth and on the trajectory towards our strategic vision, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Supervisor to join our dynamic and dedicated Production team in Notting Hill.

About the Role

Waverley Social Enterprises is seeking a highly motivated Senior Supervisor, to provide guidance and support to a small team of energetic employees living with disabilities.

This is a supportive and hands on role which will primarily support our Onsite Labour business. The Senior Supervisor is responsible for guiding and supervising a dedicated team of supported employees (NDIS participants) working off-site at various partner facilities, by providing a positive and collaborative work environment, ongoing support to employees living with disabilities to enhance their skills and capabilities and ensuring safe application of equipment and processes. Waverley is seeking someone who has had relevant experience in instructing, training in a supervisory context, and understands working with individuals with diverse abilities.

As Senior Supervisor, you will play an instrumental role in supporting our commitment to inclusivity and empowering those living with a disability.

This role involves a dual responsibility of providing supervision and assistance to supported employees and ensuring the efficient and safe completion of work according to agreed customer requirements.

Some of the Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and support to supported employees, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment, and enhancing their skills and capabilities.
  • Meet set targets/goals and ensure timely completion of paperwork requirements.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of Waverley Social Enterprise’s equipment and vehicles, ensuring proper functioning and safety.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, ensuring productivity, efficiency, and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of produced products to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
  • Act as a liaison between the Onsite Labour team and the company, ensuring effective communication of all relevant information.
  • Uphold a safe working environment for all team members by adhering to OH&S practices and compliance with industry regulations.

The ideal Candidate

  • Experience in a supervisor or leadership role.
  • Understanding and appreciation for working with individuals with diverse abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Whilst a Certificate 4 or above in Disability or Community Service would be an advantage it is not essential, as we can provide relevant training as a part of your professional development.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Valid Driver’s licence.
