Subiaco, WA | Business Services | Full-time Hybrid
Western Australia Return Recycle Renew (WARRRL) is the Scheme Coordinator for Containers for Change, leading Western Australia’s recycling revolution.
In just over five years, we have helped divert more than 5 billion containers from landfill, growing the container recovery rate from 33% to 66%, and supporting a diverse network of over 300 refund points. These refund points create meaningful employment through commercial operators, social enterprises, and not-for-profit organisations across the state.
Now two years into our strategic plan, WARRRL is focussed on delivering the next phase of impact.
Our vision is clear: to create a circular economy for containers that delivers positive environmental and social outcomes for Western Australia.
We are looking for a new member of our Business Intelligence (BI) team, someone who can add value through connecting our data capability with our decision makers, through the application of actionable business insights.
This role is suited to someone with demonstrated experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a similar field. The person stepping into this role will take on meaningful BI delivery work while placing a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement, data literacy, and enabling the broader organisation to use data more confidently and effectively.
You will work closely with teams across Operations, Business Development & Marketing, as well as external technology partners, to deliver reporting, insights, and data solutions that improve real decisions. The role sits within a small, collaborative BI team that values curiosity, quality, and clear communication.
Combining technical ability with natural curiosity you’ll genuinely enjoy uncovering insights and helping people make sense of data. We are looking for a person who follows through on commitments, communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences, and takes pride in producing accurate, well-structured work.
We are especially keen to hear from people who thrive in a structured & governed environment, prioritise effectively, and build trust with stakeholders by being responsive, consistent, and proactive.
The following are not required, but candidates with experience in any of these areas are encouraged to highlight them:
At WARRRL, our people are central to our success. We are committed to creating a workplace that is safe, inclusive, and accessible for all, where diversity is valued and different perspectives are welcomed.
We are proud to have completed our first Reconciliation Action Plan and continue to strengthen our relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. All applicants who self-identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander in their cover letter will be guaranteed an interview.
We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, along with opportunities for professional growth and development.
Most importantly, you will be part of a team making a tangible difference to the environment and the community.

If you are interested in this position, click “Apply Now”. Please submit a cover letter (maximum 2 pages) addressing the 'About You' section above.
We are particularly interested in thoughtful, experience-based responses that reflect your personal approach, perspective and language. Below are two areas you are encouraged to use to focus your cover letter:
Insight Adoption
Give an example of an insight you developed that changed business behaviour. What was your process, from developing it through to influencing decision makers and driving adoption?
Enabling Data Literacy
An example where you helped improve how data was understood, trusted or used across an organisation (beyond producing reports) and how you worked with stakeholders and your team to improve data literacy.
Please note that only applications submitted via "Apply Now" with a covering letter will be considered.
Applications for this role will take you to the employer’s site.
