The Victorian Trades Hall Council (VTHC) is looking for people who want to make a difference.

The VTHC is the peak body for unions in the State of Victoria. We provide industrial support for affiliated unions and run campaigns to promote the interests of Victorian workers.

We are seeking to employ a full-time Executive Office Manager.

Duties include:

  • Leading the administrative team
  • Drafting and managing HR contracts and letters
  • Responsible for processing payroll advice to the Finance Officer
  • Planning/managing major events/conferences
  • Developing and implementing administrative systems
  • Ensuring smooth operation of IT systems via our IT provider
  • Scheduling meetings and appointments
  • Booking transportation and accommodation
  • Drafting responses to correspondence
  • Organising office operations and procedures
  • Approving office purchases

Essential Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent MS Office Suite skills with high conversancy in Excel
  • Ability to set priorities when faced with competing demands
  • Well developed organisational and administrative skills
  • Ability to work with a range of stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage an administrative team
  • Commitment to trade union principles

The position is to be based at Victorian Trades Hall Council in Carlton South, Victoria.

Salary:

$113,986 per annum and including fortnightly ADOs and 12% superannuation.
