The St Vincent de Paul Society is a major international charitable and voluntary organisation that has been operating in South Australia since 1884. Our principal role is to provide for, or alleviate, the needs of disadvantaged people in the community.
Join our Vinnies Open Door team in delivering early intervention and prevention strategies to support individuals and families at risk of homelessness. This role involves in-reach at Vinnies Men’s Crisis Centre, outreach, and liaison activities, empowering clients to obtain and sustain housing arrangements. Funded by the South Australian Housing Authority until June 30, 2026, this position operates under a service agreement, ensuring alignment with program outcomes.
The successful candidate will report to the Central Adelaide Homelessness Services Manager. We are seeking an individual with outstanding interpersonal skills, genuine compassion, and extensive experience within the homelessness sector. They must exhibit unwavering dedication to the Society's ethos and mission, actively championing its core values while steadfastly eliminating unethical practices.
Applicants must hold a Certificate IV in Community Services or equivalent qualifications, possess a valid First Aid Certificate, hold a Working with Children clearance and be prepared for ongoing employment, contingent upon a satisfactory National Police Check and Medical Assessment.
