ABOUT US
The Australian Centre for the Prevention of Cervical Cancer (ACPCC) is a not-for-profit (NFP) organisation with 60 years of expertise in prevention of cancer and infectious disease through provision of pathology services, cancer screening and vaccination registries. Our primary purpose is to prevent cancer and infectious diseases through excellence in the provision of population health services supporting screening and vaccination.
THE OPPORTUNITY
ACPCC is seeking a Senior Data and Reporting Analyst to join our Population Health team. This role provides key support to the activities associated with the delivery of the Victorian Cancer Screening Framework’s Data and Surveillance Strategy.
Key responsibilities will be to:
- Lead and undertake complex data analysis and reporting initiatives, including preparation of data specifications, development of business and transformation rules, execution of data quality reviews, dataset manipulation and analysis, development and testing, and resource preparation.
- Develop Business Intelligence reporting tools and other software solutions to produce data and reports, including translating and interpreting data into dashboards, briefings, and discussion papers.
- Develop and provide high-quality technical, descriptive, analytical, and statistical data products and reports in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the learning and development of the Data and Reporting team, including mentoring staff and supporting capability building.
- Build and maintain positive and collaborative relationships with project partners and stakeholders to ensure data and reporting remain fit for purpose and deliver expected outputs.
- Provide senior analytical support for key data and reporting projects and activities associated with the Victorian Cancer Screening Partnership (VCSP), ensuring adherence to defined requirements, timeframes, protocols, and outcomes.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Health Informatics, or in a discipline with a strong data analytics focus.
- Excellent technical ability and understanding of business intelligence tools, data visualisation software (including Microsoft Power BI), statistical analysis applications (including R or Stata) and data analysis tools and techniques (including SQL)
- Demonstrated experience working with data and reports including data extraction, collation, preparation, analysis, interpretation, and production of statistical reports.
- Detailed knowledge of public health statistical methods.
- Demonstrated experience and skills in leading projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- A highly organised, efficient and detail orientated individual.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team.
- An attitude that embraces a collaborative culture of learning and knowledge sharing.
