About the role

Reporting to the Deputy CFO, the Accounts Payable Officer plays an important role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the Finance team.

You will be responsible for processing a high volume of invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling transactions, assisting with staff reimbursements and supporting month-end reporting. You'll also work closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve payment enquiries while helping maintain strong financial compliance across the organisation.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working with detail, takes pride in accuracy, and is committed to delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

You'll be responsible for:

  • Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and data entry
  • Processing staff travel requests and reimbursements
  • Reconciling credit card and creditor accounts
  • Assisting with month-end financial reporting
  • Responding to supplier and creditor enquiries professionally
  • Resolving payment discrepancies and identifying practical solutions
  • Supporting payroll and other finance activities as required
  • Assisting with general finance administration and continuous improvement initiatives

About you

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or Finance Administration role
  • Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • The ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience using accounting systems such as Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP systems
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to support the wider Finance team
