Join Hume Riverina Community Legal Service (HRCLS) and help improve access to justice for people experiencing family violence, family law issues and other complex challenges. As part of a passionate and supportive team, you will provide high-quality legal assistance while contributing to community education, advocacy and lasting social change.
Whether you are an experienced practitioner or looking to further develop your expertise in community legal practice, this is an opportunity to make a genuine impact every day.
We know that great lawyers thrive when they are supported.
We offer:
Hume Riverina Community Legal Service (HRCLS) is a program of Upper Murray Family Care (UMFC), a proudly independent, community-managed organisation committed to strengthening families and communities across North East Victoria and the Southern Riverina of NSW.
HRCLS is a place-based, cross-border community legal centre providing free legal assistance to people facing significant barriers to justice. We work alongside health, education, family violence and community service providers to deliver holistic, trauma-informed legal services that improve outcomes for vulnerable individuals and families.
We are seeking a Lawyer to join our Family Law and Family Violence Practice.
In this rewarding role, you will work directly with clients experiencing complex legal issues while contributing to broader initiatives that strengthen our community and improve the justice system.
Your responsibilities will include:
You are a compassionate, capable lawyer who is committed to improving access to justice and supporting people through some of the most challenging times in their lives.
Most importantly, you will bring empathy, professionalism and a genuine commitment to social justice and collaborative practice.
At HRCLS, you will do more than practise law; you will help shape stronger communities.
If you are looking for a career where your legal skills can create meaningful change while being supported by a collaborative and values-driven team, we would love to hear from you.
