At its heart UMSU is committed to ensuring students have advocacy and representation on campus – ensuring student voices are heard while making students’ time at the University fun and enjoyable.
The Rowden White Library is a contemporary recreation library for all students at the University of Melbourne with a significant history that spans 85 years.
The library and its services and bookable spaces are now supported by new surrounds designed across two levels in the Student Pavilion with recreational balconies to both levels.
The diverse collection of books, comics and graphic novels along with eBooks and eAudiobooks are complimented by gaming computers and a state-of-the-art VR room.
This library is unique on campus, it’s a place for students to relax and engage with services aligned to recreational activity delivering quality experiences that make a difference. This library is where you do not study.
As the Senior Library Officer role you will deliver responsive library services and targeted programs to appeal to the libraries diverse membership that inspire and engage the student community.
This role will maintain and develop the library collections and contribute to the development of the library’s policies and procedures and annual operating plan.
Areas of responsibility include managing the Union’s Archives and Library programs.
