About the role

Uniting WA has a current opportunity for a Senior Support Worker in our Homelessness team.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will provide guidance and support to a high performing team that delivers high quality, sustainable support services to people at risk of, or experiencing homelessness.

Successful applicants will be able to maintain a comprehensive understanding of innovative and contemporary models of support, sharing knowledge and coaching our case coordinators to deliver high quality care and positive outcomes for our participants.

About you

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:

  • Excellent understanding of person-centred, strength-based support and trauma informed practices.
  • Established skills in relationship building and stakeholder engagement management (internal and external)
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
  • Awareness of relevant services and resources in the community
  • Ability to develop teams and ensure a positive team culture.
  • Understanding of trends and issues within the homelessness sector

You will also need to hold the following:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or commensurate significant (i.e. 2 years+) experience and relevant professional development.
  • Current Western Australian Driver's Licence
  • National Police Clearance
  • Current First Aid certificate
