About the role:

Working as part of the Workforce Management project to train Uniting's Residential Aged Care (RAC) staff in a new rostering system which Uniting has recently launched 

Full time fixed term contract to December 2022!

In collaboration with a team of Roster Coaches you will support our people through go-live and transition to BAU with the new e-rostering system Optima 11 that makes the process of creating rosters as simple as possible. 

Training, IT equipment and materials provided as you work training internal stakeholders such as front-line employees, roster administrators, service managers and business managers. 

This role will require travel to our services across NSW to to train and coach our people to ensure they are using Optima proficiently as they transition from go-live to BAU.

Role responsibilities: 

• Gather, investigate, and research background materials to gain an understanding of the rostering system
• Review training material  
• Coordinate, schedule and conduct training programs
• Raise risks and issues as appropriate and identify changes to scope, escalate where necessary, and manage assigned risks and issues to completion

You will design and deliver a blended learning approach utilising 70/20/10 principles to support Uniting's current digital services. 

Qualifications and experience: 

• Undergraduate qualification (HR, Business Systems, IT disciplines preferred) 
• Cert IV in Workplace Training and Assessment or equivalent level of skills and knowledge gained through practical experience
• 3-5 years’ experience in designing and delivering technical training solutions
• Confidence to deliver engaging and succinct training to large groups 
• Great problem-solving skills providing innovative ideas and solutions in your discipline 
• Highly developed written and verbal communications skills 
• You are systematic, organised, thorough, accurate and disciplined 
• Good interpersonal skills with strong ability to forge relationships
• Experience with WorkSmart Dynamics, Preceda, E-Recruit, Optima or RosterOn 

Ideally, we are looking for trainers that can think critically and logically with technical troubleshooting experience along with patience and tact to motivate learners with different ability levels 

 Even better: 

• Experience using rostering systems - Allocate Optima preferred
• Project management experience
• Understanding of Human Centred Design concepts
