About the Role

We’re seeking a hands-on and dependable Maintenance Officer / Tradesperson to support our aged care and retirement living services at Uniting Hawkesbury

This role is offered as a 2-day working week (weekday hours only, no weekends), providing excellent work–life balance. 

You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment, playing an important role in keeping our services safe, functional, and welcoming for residents, staff, and visitors.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across site facilities
  • Responding promptly to maintenance requests and safety issues
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with WHS requirements
  • Communicating respectfully with residents, families, and colleagues
  • Supporting asset management through accurate reporting and documentation

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in maintenance, facilities, or a general handyperson role
  • A sound understanding of workplace health and safety
  • Trade qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach
  • Good communication skills and basic computer literacy
  • A current NSW Driver’s Licence

Desirable Experience

  • Maintenance experience in aged care, retirement living, or community services
  • Familiarity with maintenance systems (CMMS) — training provided
