Come “fly” with us

Our wonderful team of mobile aged care professionals deliver care in the event of an outbreak (like COVID) or other emergency situations and we’re looking for new Flying Squad team members. As part of the Uniting Flying Squad, you’ll be deployed to any of our residential aged care services in NSW & ACT at short notice (12-24 hrs) so you need to be super flexible and very mobile. In return, you’ll be well rewarded and at the end of your Flying Squad deployment we’ll work with you to identify a permanent role in one of our Uniting Services.

To qualify as a Uniting Flying Squad team member, you’ll need to:

• Be an experienced & qualified Residential Care Service Employee (Cert III or Cert IV) or Assistant in Nursing or studying towards that
• Be available to work full time while on deployment; and
• Meet our usual employment checks including being fully vaccinated against COVID-19

In return, we are offering generous benefits including:

• An hourly rate up to 50% above the Uniting EA base rate while on deployment plus penalties;
• Paid accommodation if required;  
• Paid any associated travel costs; and
• A meal allowance of $72.32 per shift when required to live away from home while on deployment.
