Uniting Aldersgate has recently been fully refurbished and has 96 beds.
To support this, Uniting has undertaken a fundamental re-think of our care model to ensure resident choice and control is maximised while maintaining high standards of clinical care. We are also focused on providing opportunities for our staff to broaden their skills and experience in their daily work which in turn improves our ability to meet residents’ needs.
We refer to this model as our Household model of care, which involves creating contemporary home-like environments which are supported by our staff who are positioned as close to residents as possible in order to facilitate personalised care and to maximise resident independence, choice and control on how they live their lives.
We are seeking experienced Care Service Employees to work at this new facility on a PPT basis, to work collaboratively as a care team member to assist in the provision of care services that enhances the residents’ well-being and is inclusive of their physical, psychological, social and spiritual qualities, to facilitate self-determination, capacity and resilience, as well as improve social engagement and quality of life for the resident.
Uniting is proud to be an EEO employer. Uniting supports an inclusive approach in the workplace. We celebrate our diversity and welcome staff regardless of ethnicity, faith, sexual orientation, gender identity and lifestyle choices. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.
