Job Description

At Youturn, growth isn’t measured in numbers.

It’s measured in lives changed, people supported, and communities strengthened = IMPACT.

Every new service we build starts as an idea and becomes something that truly matters.

We’re looking for a New Initiatives & Growth Lead to turn possibility into impact.

Why This Role Is Different

This isn’t business development as usual.

This is where strategy meets creation.

Where ideas don’t just get discussed, they get built.

You’ll operate at the intersection of insight, innovation and execution, owning the journey from concept to launch:

See the opportunity.

Co-design the solution.

Win the work.

Bring it to life.

End-to-end ownership.

Real-world impact.

Work that changes lives.

Your Impact

Connect Insight to Impact

You stay ahead, connecting insight, community need and opportunity.

  • Identify emerging funding, market and sector opportunities
  • Apply a strong equity lens, ensuring solutions respond to real community need
  • Translate insight into clear, strategic direction

Win the Work

You combine creativity with rigour, building submissions that stand out and stand up.

  • Lead high quality tenders, proposals and business cases
  • Craft compelling, persuasive narratives grounded in evidence and impact
  • Apply strong project planning and project management discipline to deliver on deadlines

Design Services That Matter

You don’t just design services, you design them with people, for people.

  • Lead co-design approaches with stakeholders, partners and community
  • Apply service design technicality, including project logic models and structured design frameworks
  • Build solutions that balance innovation, feasibility and sustainability

Bring Ideas to Life

You move seamlessly from concept to delivery.

  • Drive mobilisation using structured project management and delivery frameworks
  • Ensure operational readiness through detailed planning and stakeholder alignment
  • Partner with teams to translate design into impactful, working services

Build Influence

You connect ideas, people and purpose.

  • Engage deeply with commissioners, partners and community stakeholders
  • Build trusted relationships through genuine consultation and collaboration
  • Strengthen Youturn’s voice as an innovative, impact-driven organisation

Who You Are

You’re someone who can hold both vision and detail; equally comfortable shaping strategy and executing it.

You’re creative, innovative and grounded in impact and you genuinely believe in the work we do.

  • Strong experience across business development, tenders, service design or growth
  • Demonstrated success delivering winning submissions or funded initiatives
  • Highly capable in project planning and project management, with the ability to bring complex initiatives to life
  • Advanced service design capability, including project logics, frameworks and structured design approaches
  • Skilled in co-design and authentic community and stakeholder engagement
  • A natural collaborator who influences without authority
  • An exceptional communicator, able to turn complex ideas into powerful, engaging narratives
  • Commercially astute, strategically minded and outcomes-focused
  • Driven by purpose, with a deep commitment to equity and meaningful impact

Qualifications & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Health, Human Services, Public Policy, Commerce or similar
  • Experience across tender management, business development, service design or commissioning
  • Proven track record delivering successful proposals or growth initiatives
  • Experience in service establishment, mobilisation or program delivery (highly desirable)
  • Background in community services, health or purpose-led sectors (highly regarded)

Why Youturn

Because here, your work means something.

  • Turn ideas into services that genuinely support people
  • Influence the direction of meaningful, sustainable growth
  • Work alongside passionate, purpose-driven professionals
  • Help create outcomes that are grounded in equity and strengthen communities for the long term
