Tenants Queensland is looking for a First Nations Project Officer to join a funded research and policy initiative focused on improving outcomes for First Nations renters in Queensland. Based in our Brisbane CBD office the work is substantive - reviewing policy, developing resources and training materials, and building an evidence base that drives real system change. Relevant backgrounds include social work, social science, law, or First Nations studies; a degree is desirable but not required.
This is an Identified (First Nations) position that is fixed-term to September 2026, full-time, SCHADS Level 4.

The Project Support Officer will work closely with the Project Leader to address the structural barriers faced by First Nations Queenslanders in the private rental sector. The role will contribute to improving system responses for First Nations renters at risk of tenancy breaches or engagement with the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT).
