About the role

Provide oversight of the Bundamba Re.Turn It centre resulting in a friendly customer experience and efficiency of operations that support the achievements of TSA mission.

Retail and Financial Management

Responsible for the daily operations of the Re.Turn It centre ensuring that it is operating at an optimum level: ensuring Re.Turn It contract principles are adhered to; open/close procedures; maintenance of the cleanliness of the centre; cash register operations; co-ordinate collection of containers; customer service enquiries)

Volunteer Management

Volunteers are effectively managed in an efficient and courteous environment that fosters a productive experience for customers and staff alike

Provide assistance across the stores operations

Perform other duties across the centre and Family Store to assist in effective site operations which may include opening & closing duties, customer service, retail and cashier duties.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • An appreciation of and the ability and willingness to promote and support the values and ethos of The Salvation Army
  • Professional development required to maintain skills for the role
  • 1 years' experience in retail and/or customer service management
  • Proven experience in the recycling/transport industry is desirable
  • 1 years' experience in mentoring / training staff or ability to demonstrate capability to undertake
  • WHS - knowledge of work health safety obligations and to practice these in the workplace in line with TSA policy & procedures and legislation
  • Willingness to undergo a National Police Check

  • Strong customer service focus
  • Sound presentation and communication skills (both oral and written) to be able to interact and network positively with a variety of people
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
  • Able to undertake assigned tasks and implement Operational procedures unsupervised
  • Team player, flexible with a positive attitude
