The Policy and Advocacy team helps fulfil that vision by working closely with governments and other decision-makers to influence public policy to achieve social justice. We build on the vast experience of helping people at their point of need to identify issues. We work with those who give hope to people experiencing hardship to develop solutions. We amplify the voice of lived experience to influence decision-makers.

​THE ROLE

We are looking for a new Policy and Advocacy Adviser, based in our Barton office to join our team. Reporting to the General Manager Policy and Advocacy, and working closely with colleagues in Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in helping shape The Salvation Army Australia's social policy positions and advocacy efforts.

ABOUT YOU

Our ideal candidate will have a background in social policy development or practice, along with strong writing and analytical skills. Candidates with experience in social policy relating to family violence in particular will be highly regarded. HOURS

This is a permanent full time position, 38 hours per week
