The Salvation Army 614 is seeking an enthusiastic Overnight Outreach Worker to provide intervention service for vulnerable and at-risk people within the CBD by offering a high level of quality, effective, integrated and responsive support services.
The Salvation Army Melbourne Project 614 program consists of a team of staff and volunteers based in the City of Melbourne who are passionate about working with those who live on the fringes of society to address issues of homelessness or risks related to homelessness, mental health issues, addiction or social poverty. Connecting with many people each day, the program works to achieve positive outcomes for clients.
The Night Outreach position is a 3 month fix term role, 4 nights a week 11pm - 7:00am providing high a level of quality, effective, integrated and responsive services to proactively address homelessness. Working in a team of 2 and supported by volunteers, this position works collaboratively with emergency services (police, hospitals) and stakeholders across the City of Melbourne.
