The Western Metro Homelessness Service is the Entry Point to services for the Brimbank Melton catchment. The service is home to a variety of programs from the homelessness, family violence and community streams.

THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a values-driven person with proven experience working with clients experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. Other key accountability areas include:

  • To provide a welcoming experience for those attending the service
  • To inform consumers of housing and emergency relief eligibility and if needed referrals to other suitable local services
  • Answer incoming calls and direct to appropriate service or provide relevant information
  • Assist with general enquiries

This position is located at Harvester Road Sunshine.

HOURS AND SALARY

This is a part time position, 30.4 hours per week fixed term to 30 June 2021. This role will be rostered to work the hours Monday to Friday.

Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, Social Stream, level 3.

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

  • Cert III in Community Services
  • 12 months experience in customer service or administration
  • Willingness to learn about ER and Homelessness
  • Be able to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia
