We are seeking an autonomous and experienced Administrator who is a computer whiz with great attention to detail to join The Salvation Army's Pastoral Services team on a full-time permanent basis in Ringwood, Victoria.

About the Department

Pastoral Services is a professional team of Christian psychologists and counsellors who provide confidential clinical and spiritual care to Salvation Army officers (clergy) and their dependents all over Australia. In addition to crisis support, the team provides training and resources focussed on prevention and healthy ministry practice. All these services - depending on need - are provided in a hybrid model of online and face-to-face connection.

About the Role

The Administration Coordinator will report into the Manager of Pastoral Services and is responsible for:

  • Providing office coordination and administration support to Pastoral Services Managers and team members, freeing them to focus on their clinical work
  • Maintaining and developing effective confidential administrative processes
  • Overseeing all finance processes, such as invoice payments, reimbursements, etc
  • Liaising with team members to arrange appointments and documentation regarding clients
  • Maintaining and developing confidential client management database
  • Coordinating specific projects with Managers
  • Coordinating events, travel and accommodation for the team

About you

  • 3 years'+ experience in business administration and office management
  • Relevant experience in a church or not for profit context preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of pastoral and church life culture
  • Proven experience with managing sensitive and confidential files
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience as a case management system user
