The Filipino Community Council of Victoria Inc. (FCCVi) is one of Australia's largest and most respected Filipino community organisations, delivering high-quality aged care, home care and community services that make a genuine difference in people's lives.

As our organisation continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Team Leader– Support at Home/Home Care to join our team in this newly created role. This is an outstanding opportunity for an team leader who enjoys taking ownership, building high-performing teams and driving continuous improvement across a diverse and expanding organisation.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Team Leader - Support at Home/Home Care will work in conjunction with the CEO and the Leadership Team to oversee the day to day operations of the organisation, ensuring our programs are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with legislative, funding and quality requirements.

This is a hands on leadership role requiring someone who can confidently lead people, coach managers, improve systems and take accountability for operational outcomes. You will play a key role in strengthening operational performance while supporting FCCVi's continued growth and implementation of the new Support at Home Program.

About You

You are an experienced team leader with a proven background in Home Care and Aged Care.

Most importantly, you are someone who naturally takes ownership, leads by example, develops others and creates a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day to day operations of the organisation in partnership with the CEO
  • Lead, coach and support managers and operational teams
  • Drive service quality, operational performance and customer outcomes
  • Oversee workforce planning, rostering and resource allocation
  • Ensure compliance with aged care legislation, funding agreements and quality standards
  • Support implementation of the new Support at Home reforms
  • Lead risk management, incident reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Develop and improve operational policies, systems and procedures
  • Work collaboratively with the CEO and Leadership Team to achieve organisational objectives
  • Foster a positive, values-driven workplace culture focused on teamwork, accountability and service excellence

Essential Requirements

  • Demonstrated operational team leadership experience within aged care and home care.
  • Strong understanding of Commonwealth funded aged care programs and compliance requirements
  • Experience with the new Support at Home Program and sector reforms
  • Experience leading, mentoring and developing teams
  • Exceptional organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to improve systems, processes and operational efficiency
  • Experience managing reporting, operational performance and organisational systems
  • Australian working rights
  • PRODA – familiarity with provider services and aged care portals.

  • My Aged Care – experience with compliance, referrals, client records, service information, and assessments.

  • TurnPoint – knowledge of client management, budgeting, documentation, care planning, and service coordination.

  • Deputy – experience with rostering, scheduling, timesheets, and workforce management.

  • Support at Home Program – a good understanding of the Support at Home Guidelines, including Assistive Technology and Home Modifications (AT-HM), as well as other short-term care pathways and funding streams.

Highly Regarded

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Management, Community Services, Health or a related discipline
  • Understanding of Filipino culture and/or the Filipino language is essential
