The TOM: Melbourne education programs suite spans primary, secondary and tertiary education. The TOM@Schools programs are custom-built STEM (Science,Technology, Engineering and Maths) workshops teaching students about the design process, disability awareness and prototyping. The TOM@Schools program looks to foster engagement, aspiration and build an interest in STEM subjects whilst raising awareness about the real-world application of STEM to solve challenges for people with disability. Our TOM@University tertiary programs were launched in 2018 and will go through a phase of expansion in the coming year.
The Education Programs Coordinator will be experienced in program management, including the design and facilitation of programs specific to the needs of TOM: Melbourne’s cohort of students, Makers and Need-Knowers. A desire to work collaboratively with stakeholders, both within TOM and networking externally, will ensure that program outcomes are achieved.
The Education Programs Coordinator role is an exceptional opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with students across a variety of education settings. It is imperative that you are a confident facilitator who is highly organised, productive and able to work autonomously. You must be innovative, enjoy overcoming challenges and have the ability to make decisions. It is also crucial that you have a supportive but honest communication style.
This role will also support the delivery of additional programs within TOM: Melbourne’s offering.
The successful applicant will be required to hold a current Working with Children Check, valid driver licence and have access to a car for program-related travel.
