About the role

Our product and experience designers take briefs from ambiguity to clarity. They use diverse discovery methods to build a deep understanding of user and business needs in service of designing usable, purposeful and functional experiences.

Your mission is to champion great user experience, digital or physical, on projects of any size and to use your expertise to bring that experience to life with great design.

You’ll blend research, design, content and strategy to create and test prototypes, low-fidelity concepts, and beta-ready products. Your work is marked by a solid foundation of user and business value, sound structure, and usability.

Your days will be spent

  • Planning, facilitating and synthesising qualitative and quantitative research with users, stakeholders and clients
  • Creating clear and compelling experience strategy through to actionable insights

Requirements

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • 3-4 years experience in UX, UI, digital or product design
  • 2+ years working as part of a design and development team
  • Ideally you have experience working in an agency environment, but this is not mandatory
  • Proven skill in facilitation, research, client management and human-centred design methods
  • Proven skill designing for screens:
    • Well structured wireframes for responsive interfaces
    • An understanding of how typography, hierarchy, colour and space enhance usability
    • Working with developers and UI designers to bring experiences to life
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation capability
  • Be legally able to work in Australia without restriction or sponsorship

You will also bring:

  • A passion for great user-centred experience design, for digital and beyond
  • Creative problem solving
  • Client and stakeholder management skills
  • A penchant for a collaborative, creative, supportive team culture

  • Everyone is equally talented and trusts each other to experiment and suggest new ways to crack client problems
  • We aspire to create the perfect conditions for creatives to do their best work, work they are proud of, work that makes a difference
