Partnerships Lead

TODAY

We’re looking for a passionate, driven and experienced Partnership Lead to support the growth of our impact agenda, and deliver exceptional service to our client partners.

We are mostly based in Yálla-birr-ang (Collingwood, Melbourne) and we welcome applications from all lands and backgrounds. We encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with disability, people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, mature age workers and lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTIQA+) people.

About Today

We are Australia’s most awarded social impact agency.

We use design and technology to make change happen, at pace and at scale. In the last 12 months, we’ve designed and built Australia’s first online family violence intervention order, established a new approach to co-design for the Victorian mental health sector, built a peer-to-peer product that helps people learn Auslan, and launched a campaign to shift mainstream perceptions of climate change—plus many more.

Our practice is built on strong foundations of human-centred design and digital making. There are 50 of us, working across strategy, research, design, content, delivery and a wonderful support team.

At Today, you’ll experience a welcoming environment filled with smart, fun and caring people from a wide variety of backgrounds and disciplines, who are passionate about creativity, making change, and learning from each other.

About this role

We’re interested in meeting talented Partnership Leads who thrive on building long lasting, strategic partnerships with clients. You will enjoy collaborating to secure and nurture partnerships and projects that have a positive impact on people, society and the environment.

Your days will be spent:

  • Co-developing strategic, measurable partnership plans with senior leaders in the business
  • Listening deeply to understand our clients' context, goals and challenges, and share this knowledge effectively with the team
  • Working with our Partnerships team to surface insights relevant to the client and team
  • Nurturing new opportunities into projects by shaping high quality proposals and pitches, in collaboration with the Business Director and New business supporters

Requirements

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • 3+ years experience in a similar role
  • Proven experience in partnership development, with a successful track record of managing and growing strategic relationships
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Knowledge of the design, technology and impact industries
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels
  • Event management and client hosting experience
  • That you can legally work in Australia

You will also bring:

  • Passion for building long term strategic partnerships
  • An ability to thrive in a collaborative, creative team environment
  • You treat others with kindness, empathy and respect
  • You are optimistic and bring humour, lightness and play into your work
  • You approach every moment thinking ‘how can I help?’

We encourage everyone to apply for this role.

Research indicates that while men apply to jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other marginalised people tend to only apply when they check every box. If you don't have all the experience, this is not a deterrent - we will hire on potential. So if you feel that this is something you could and would love to do, please apply anyway and be honest about what you've done and want to learn. We are interested in growing people within the role.
