The Opportunity

Our Innovation & Impact team champions the translation of research into real-world solutions. Working collaboratively with researchers, professional services, partners and communities, our team works to scale and accelerate measurable improvements in child health and wellbeing.

The Senior Advisor, Impact Measurement & Learning will play a pivotal role in the implementation of the Research Reimagined strategy. Working closely with the Director, Innovation & Impact, this role is instrumental in embedding impact-focused practices and enabling the translation of research into real-world outcomes. This role will support the implementation of our theme strategies, impact measurement framework, high-profile Challenge projects and facilitate ongoing learning and strategy adaptation.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the design and development of a new impact measurement framework across the Institute.
  • Design and implement an impact data collection process that balances practicality with value.
  • Support the implementation and iteration of impact-focused research strategies that foster research translation and measurable outcomes.
  • Support implementation of Challenge projects, convening cross-disciplinary teams to accelerate solutions for children and families.
  • Foster a culture of learning and innovation, introducing feedback loops and delivering training on impact practices.

Based in our modern offices within Perth Children’s Hospital, this 9-month parental leave contract will be offered on a full-time basis, with part-time arrangements considered for the right candidate. As our team continues to grow, there may be opportunities for extension or ongoing employment following the 9-month contract period.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will hold a degree in a relevant field such as Public Health, Social Impact, Science, Evaluation, or Policy. You will also demonstrate the following:

  • A track record of developing and implementing impact strategies for complex, purpose-driven organisations.
  • Strong proficiency in applying a range of impact strategy tools, (e.g. theory of change, systems mapping) with comfort adapting toolkit based on context and audience.
  • Experience implementing impact measurement frameworks in complex organisations.
  • Excellent facilitation skills, with confidence leading large, cross-disciplinary workshops and managing strong, diverse opinions.
