TeamHEALTH has become the leading not for profit provider of mental health services in the Top End of the Northern Territory. TeamHEALTH has provided outreach services, support and advocacy for Territorians with mental illness for over 30 years.

The Way Back is a non-clinical support service focused on providing practical psychosocial support to people experiencing a suicidal crisis or who have attempted suicide. The overall aim of The Way Back Support Service is to reduce the risk of suicide (re)attempts following a previous attempt or suicidal crisis.

Reporting to the Team Leader the Way Back Support Coordinator will provide responsive and timely psychosocial support which may be facilitated across a range of domains including community and social services, housing, finance, family support, cultural and spiritual support, education and employment as well as advocacy for any or all of the above domains.

Possessing qualifications in a relevant community services, mental health or related area with a minimum of one year relevant experience the successful applicants will have demonstrated understanding and experience of person centred and trauma informed practices and recovery model and psychosocial rehabilitation.

This position is a fixed term contract up to 30 June 2022.
