We are looking for a Residential Parenting Assessment and Skill Development (PASD) Program Manager for a 12-month fixed term position at Footscray, to champion clinical excellence in Early Parenting Care. This is a unique leadership opportunity to join our leading program in a purpose-driven organisation, allowing you to make a real difference in the lives of babies, toddlers, and families across Victoria.

The Residential PASD Manager provides leadership to a multi-disciplinary team within the Parenting Assessment and Skills Development Service, working with families who have children between 0 and 3 years who are currently clients of Family Services Child Protection. The PASD Program provides a flexible and responsive service to meet families’ specific needs in relation to parenting capacity and support where there is complex vulnerability.

What you’ll DO

  • Lead a multidisciplinary team who provide evidence-informed, culturally responsive, and trauma-sensitive care in accordance with the needs of the clients
  • Work in partnership with key stakeholders, coordinating care planning, managing risk, and ensuring that program outcomes meet regulatory, requirements
  • Provide expert leadership and clinical oversight of the four bed Residential PASD unit at Footscray, serving families referred from DFFH within the Western Region and other DFFH regions as required

What you’ll BRING

  • Qualifications in relevant field including Nursing, Allied Health (eg social worker) or equivalent and related senior clinical experience are mandatory
  • A sophisticated understanding of the Family Services Child Protection service system, legislation and policies
  • Established knowledge of the theory and best practice related to child and family health
