Funded by the NDIA, and in line with evidence-based best practice, the Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) program is designed to connect families to a range of flexible and responsive supports for children (aged under 7 years) with developmental delay or disability.

Our ECEI Team works with parents and carers of children with a disability or developmental delay to consider funded supports; short term intervention and community and mainstream connections that will support them to better participate in the community and reach their full potential.

About the role:

Joining our strong Practice and Leadership Team that delivers the ECEI program for the Moreton Bay; Greater Brisbane; Logan and Redlands areas, you will provide clear, fair and focused leadership; supervision; practice support and learning opportunities for your team. You will lead a multidisciplinary team that includes Teachers and Educators, Social Workers, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals to holistically support children and their families to receive the supports they need to better participate in the community.

You will have plenty of opportunity to work autonomously while ensuring that our services are effective, culturally appropriate and maximise great outcomes for children and their families.

Your work will also include building and maintaining effective local relationships and collaborating with community partners and other stakeholders to facilitate referrals and improve outcomes for each children and their families.

Terms: Permanent full time position based in Milton or Loganholme QLD.

What you need to succeed?

You will have experience leading a team in the Community Services, Health or Early Childhood Education sector and:

  • Knowledge of effective service delivery in early intervention and family support including experience working with vulnerable children and families
  • People leadership experience with the ability to build and develop an engaged, high performing team
  • Good management skills including troubleshooting, managing multiple deadlines and conflict resolution
  • Pragmatic approach to problem solving, decision making and manage balancing priorities
  • Working in a collaborative, cross functional way with teams, peers and stakeholders to achieve outcomes
  • A relevant degree qualification and current driver’s license
