Your Opportunity

Join our Early Childhood Approach (ECA) team as an Early Intervention Occupational Therapist and make a meaningful impact for children aged 0-6 years with developmental delays and their families. We embrace a relationship-based approach, fostering strong connections with families to support each child's unique journey. Utilising the key-worker model, you will be the primary point of contact, ensuring consistent and family centred care. Our work is short term, sessions are community based and occur across a 3-month span. You will be supporting a culturally diverse clientele and part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team of Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Early Childhood Educators.

How You Will Contribute

As an Early Intervention Occupational Therapist you will:

• Perform functional assessments for young children to determine appropriate supports.
• Collaborate with families and trans-disciplinary teams to implement individualised intervention plans.
• Provide direct Occupational Therapy services in both individual and group settings.
• Support families, educators, and professionals in creating inclusive environments and staying updated on best practices.

Your Skills and Experience

We want you to be successful in your new role! This means you'll have:

• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy (essential).
• Registration with Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (essential).
• Experience working with young children with developmental delays or disability and their families is preferred.
• Openness to work in an innovative, dynamic and relationally informed early intervention model.
• Knowledge of early childhood intervention principles and best practice.
• Current drivers' license, willingness/ability to travel to clients (pool cars provided).
• Current Blue Card.
