Role Overview:

The Quality, Risk and Compliance (QRC) Manager is responsible for monitoring and continuously improving the quality systems across the services at SydWest Multicultural Services. These include Aged Care, NDIS, Settlement and Community Engagement.

This role will have a key focus on internally benchmarking clinical/lifestyle and settlement outcomes and measuring the overall customer experience for consumers and families of our services. In addition to our Community engagement services, our consistent growth in aged care and disability services demand ongoing reviews and audits to ensure compliance and the development of a quality improvement framework with a strong clinical focus.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Quality, Risk and Compliance Management.
  • Ensuring quality, risk mitigation and compliance for our consumers in line with the Aged Care Quality Standards.
  • Monitor and continuously improve the quality systems across the services at SydWest.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of accepted relevant industry standards for improving performance.
  • Assist in the identification, analysis, reporting, and resolution of safety and quality issues.
  • Oversee the implementation, functioning and ongoing evolution of SydWest, accreditation risk management framework inclusive of Auditing.
  • Provide practical advice and assistance to Managers concerning achievement of the Standards.
  • Ensure SydWest has an appropriate clinical governance framework to deliver safe and effective services to our consumers.
  • Ensure optimal consumer service provisions across all programs & all sites.
  • Ensure all consumer services are compliant with relevant funding requirements.
  • Practise in a way that acknowledges the dignity, culture, values, beliefs and rights of individuals/groups.
  • Ensure best practice and continuous improvement processes embedded in systems and service delivery.
  • Coordinate continuous improvement initiatives in line with all Standards.

Essential Criteria (needs to be addressed on a separate document):

  • Tertiary qualifications in management, quality or a health-related discipline.
  • Experience in accreditation and compliance or knowledge of ISO9001 QMS.
  • Demonstrate understanding and ability to apply relevant legislation for the purposes of quality assurance.
  • Ability to inspire and bring change in a highly regulated environment.
  • Well-developed communication skills, and ability to relate effectively to people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Able to be decisive, collaborative and possess problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of the socioeconomic, health and cultural factors affecting vulnerable seniors, people with disabilities and families.
  • A clear Police Check, Working with Children Check and evidence of eligibility to work in Australia.

Desirable:

  • Relevant experience in Quality Systems Management.
  • Experience in Aged care.
  • Previous clinical experience in a similar environment; demonstrated high levels of clinical care competence.
  • Experience in working in a Multicultural work environment.
