About the Role

Swinburne University of Technology is seeking a motivated and collaborative Research Fellow for a new role within the Centre for Mental Health and Brain Sciences. You will drive research and evaluation for the Bipolar Research Clinic (BRC) while supporting the delivery of a first-of-its-kind digital research clinic for the psychosocial management of bipolar disorder.

This includes leading key research activities such as co-design, consumer consultation, participant recruitment, data collection and analysis, stakeholder engagement, and funding applications. You will also contribute to high-quality research outputs and ensure the safe and effective implementation of innovative digital mental health services.

About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Contribute to the innovation, research and development activities and output of the Centre for Mental Health and Brain Sciences, individually and as a member of a team
  • Coordinate key research processes, participant/client recruitment, and data collection
  • Lead the preparation of research publications and presentations and funding applications
  • Contribute to the research supervision of Honours, MPsych and Higher Degree by Research students
  • Contribute to the establishment of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality and innovative clinical care, in accordance with legislation, quality standards, and relevant guidelines

Qualifications:

  • PhD in mental health, computer science, or closely related discipline, or equivalent research and applied experience relevant to digital mental health and/or psychological interventions for mood disorders.
