We are recruiting for an experienced and highly skilled Administration Assistant to join the Vinnies W.A. team at Canning Vale Distribution Centre.

The Depot consists of office and depot staff including a fleet of trucks who together service the stock requirements of the shops, local conferences and the external contracts and partnerships which exist to provide welfare within the community. Generally, the Depot services operate in the greater Perth metropolitan area only although there are also smaller levels of service provided to regional areas across WA. About the Role:

Reporting directly to the Office Manager, the Administration Assistant will provide high levels of professional customer service to ensure the effective administration an delivery of the Distribution Centre Operations.

  • Permanent Part time
  • 3 days per week (Mon, Tues, Thurs)
  • Canning Vale Location

You will be responsible for:

  • Proactively participate as a team member and be relied upon to smoothly support the day to day functioning of the office. 
  • Assist with projects, tasks, business and administrative duties as reasonably directed.
  • General administration and office duties, including assisting with: maintaining stationary, consumables and supplies, data entry and end of month reporting.
  • Assist with volunteer engagement and training activities, as required. 
  • Answer and respond to a high volume of phone, email and in person enquiries, ensuring they are dealt with compassionately and in line with the values of the Society.

You will be expected to represent Vinnies in a positive and professional manner at all times. You will be the ‘go-to’ person for all things admin related!

About You: 

You will be able to ‘wow’ us with your exceptional admin experience and expert computing / IT skills. You are solution focussed and and thrive in a busy work environment with the ability to work independently and without regular supervision.

You will also have: 

  • Client focussed with excellent customer service.
  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Sound organisational and time management skills with the ability to proactively prioritise own workload, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to proactively use initiative and apply attention to detail.
  • Ability to work within a team, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to actively contribute towards achieving set objectives.
  • Demonstrate an openness to take direction, assist others, identify improvements and adapt to change. 
  • Well-developed decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate level essential)
  • A relevant qualification in business or administration is preferred, however 1 year’s office-based administration experience in a client focussed environment is essential.
