The Opportunity

As a Contact Centre Operator, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and services to members of the public as the first point of contact for calls for assistance, collection or donations and distribution of welfare items.

A key requirement of this position is the ability to liaise with members of the public, warehouse and distribution staff and Conferences to facilitate the timely and efficient delivery of services in accordance with the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland.

This is a Permanent, Part-time position (25 hours per week) based in Townsville. This is a Monday to Friday role from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.

To be successful in the role, you will meet the following selection criteria:

  • Previous experience working within a call centre environment
  • Previous experience receiving high volumes of calls and ability to maintain professional phone etiquette at all times
  • Personal aptitude for ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
  • Microsoft Office suite proficiency with intermediate aptitude in Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Developed interpersonal, communication and organisation skills
  • Ability to demonstrate a genuine respect for all people, regardless of situation
  • Commitment to promoting and creating a safe workplace
  • Understand of the commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society.
