What you will be doing

As a core member of the team, the Finance Business Partner will support the Financial Controller and the Director of Finance and Governance in the provision of financial and management accounting. You will provide recommendations relating to financial activities and aligning policy and practice across the business.

Outside of supporting the Financial Controller in the preparation and submission of budgets, forecasts, balance sheets, reconciliations, and monthly financial reporting. You will be building positive relationships with key stakeholders across the business, to assist in the improvement of business operations and performance. As well as using your analytical skills to advise and support decision making through strategic insights.

To ensure your success in this role you will draw on your experience in managing financial operations and accounting services, developing, and implementing new procedures and systems, effectively managing key stakeholders, and providing tools to help drive efficiency and improve the quality of decision making.

It will be beneficial to understand accounting for Tax in a charitable organisation. The business partners closely with the research arm of universities, so an understanding of university financial process and grants management will also aid your success in this role.
