The Role

(Full/Part time)

Working internationally, RACS Global Health partners with government, universities, and medical colleges & associations to strengthen specialist medical services in over sixteen countries across the Asia-Pacific. Visiting medical teams and in-country personnel provide clinical mentoring, education, and training to national doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals.

Reporting to the Head of Global Health, this role will have responsibility for leading the development and implementation of the RACS Global Health Mobilisation and Volunteer Engagement portfolio to ensure global standards and DFAT accreditation standards continue to be met. This senior position will influence the development of mobilisation policy, process and pre-briefing documents, including alignment of software systems to ensure collection of secure and confidential data. The position will engage with Australian Government, INGO and College partners and proactively respond to donor and Global Heath requests for information. Working with program managers and program stakeholders, this role manages all internal mobilisation and volunteer processes in line with in-country partners, donors and organisational guidelines.

The role will be offered on a full-time two-year contract.

As the ideal candidate you will have:

  • Significant experience in design and implementation of volunteer and mobilisation programs in an international or national development context
  • Demonstrated ability to strategically plan, coordinate, work to timelines, and manage competing deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience to develop reports and data relevant to international donor and philanthropic requirements.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification (such as Education, Business, International Development, or Public Health) or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Experience in working and communicating effectively with a range of senior stakeholders, preferably in a cross-cultural environment
