The St Vincent de Paul Society was founded in Paris in 1833 by Frederic Ozanam. The Society was established by like-minded people who wanted to put their Catholic faith into action.

They provide support to people living in poverty or seeking assistance through more than 200 programs and services across the country. 
From emergency housing and homelessness support to disaster recovery and general support like home visits and food, their help is delivered on a local level throughout their communities.

THE ROLE

As a Senior People and Culture Partner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our organisation's people strategies and practices. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Play a key role in driving the successful execution of the Strategic Plan within the People, Culture, and Safety team. 
  • Collaborate closely with leadership and management teams to offer strategic planning, coaching, counsel, and resolutions on people-related matters, enabling the Society to achieve its business strategies and goals.
  • Act as a trusted partner to people leaders in the development of a high-performance organisation to build employee and organisational capability and engagement.
  • Foster robust partnerships, offering support and coaching to managers on pivotal people-centric issues, including but not limited to people planning, organisational design, change management, performance management, talent management, workforce planning, and employment relations.
  • Recognise the people needs of the business and oversee the development of people-centric plans for internal stakeholders; work collaboratively with people leaders to ensure the successful execution of these plans and monitor their performance.
  • Provide expert advice to stakeholders on best practices in people strategies, potential risks, issues, and emerging trends to facilitate well-informed decision-making. 
  • Collaborate across the People, Culture, and Safety team to create and implement business-focused people solutions and practices, to support the development of workforce capability and culture.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of policies and procedures, driving continuous improvement efforts.
  • Uphold a safe working environment for staff, members, and volunteers by adhering to the Society's workplace health and safety practices.
  • Assist in the implementation of robust risk management protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with legal, employment, and governance standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement people programs and initiatives that align with the Society's objectives.

YOU WILL NEED:

  • Broad generalist Human Resource knowledge and experience in partnering with business/leadership teams to design, develop, and implement People and Culture strategies. 
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing People and Culture strategies and programs that support and align with business strategy. 
  • High level written and oral communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate and influence staff at all levels within the organisation.  
  • Demonstrated ability to provide a high standard of customer service, and apply a consultative approach with strong business acumen. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously to build relationships, engage stakeholders, coach and mentor, manage conflicting needs and opinions and develop innovative solutions to meet customer and organisational objectives.  
  • Demonstrated ability and expertise in project leadership to oversee the effective implementation of initiatives and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Valid Drivers License & willingness to travel to sites across NSW. 
  • Previous experience using SAP Success Factors will be highly regarded.
