St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria (Vinnies Victoria) provides assistance to people across Victoria whose daily struggles can include putting food on the table, paying essential utilities and ensuring their children remain at school to obtain an education.
This assistance aims to cover the basics, to take the pressure off, for things like food, petrol, education, utility bills, medical expenses, and more. The support model is designed to give people a compassionate hand up, with human connection, in times of crisis.
Our services include: soup vans, education programs, home visitation and retail shops. VincentCare, our subsidiary, provides a range of services and programs for people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness and disadvantage, such as crisis accommodation, drug and alcohol dependency programs, and work and training opportunities for people living with a disability.
Our network of 110 Vinnies Shops across the state also play a key part in funding our many programs and services and providing material assistance to people we help.
This is an excellent opportunity for Vinnies Victoria and comes at an exciting time! The recent reengagement of subsidiary the VincentCare Group means Vinnies Victoria are now able to do even more brilliant things in the community. With change comes opportunity and this one is vitally important for us to bring our recruitment services together as one by ensuring an efficient and robust recruitment process is in place, and the team feel supported and nurtured in their roles. Based at our Box Hill Central Office, but split between home, you will promote and drive an innovative recruitment process and ensure the ongoing development of people managers throughout all our Victorian facilities. With a strong customer focus, you will partner with stakeholders to identify current and anticipated people needs, and will effectively deliver the full recruitment life cycle for staff and volunteer roles. This includes, but is not limited to, sourcing, screening, interviewing and on-boarding qualified candidates based on Society needs and requests.
Degree qualified in Human Resources or a related field, you possess demonstrated experience in delivering end-to-end recruitment services in a fast paced environment. You will have experience in leading a team, or are ready to take on your next step in your leadership journey with our support. If you have previously worked in the field of employee and volunteer recruitment this would be extremely advantageous. You will have the ability work both autonomously and as a part of a cohesive team unit and you are justifiably proud of your responsive, approachable and solutions-focused nature. Positive impact is what we are all about so if you are someone who has lots of initiative and a will to help teams succeed, we can't wait to hear from you.
