St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria

About us

For more than 170 years the St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria has been providing practical and compassionate support to people across Victoria who are doing it tough, whether that's struggling to put food on the table, pay for essentials, keep children at school, or keep a roof over their head. We help people from crisis through to rebuilding their lives with stability, dignity and hope. We believe every human life has inherent worth.

The St Vincent de Paul Society and its wide network of members and volunteers provide practical frontline support, advocacy and friendship for the most vulnerable members of our community. Key services include home visitation; Vinnies Shops; youth programs; soup vans; assistance for asylum seekers and refugees; education and tutoring; and professional accommodation and health services through VincentCare and community and social housing through VincentCare Community Housing. The St Vincent de Paul Society in Victoria has more than 11,000+ members and volunteers. Internationally, the Society operates in 149 countries and more than 950,000 members.
