For more than 170 years we have been providing practical and compassionate support to people across Victoria whose daily struggles can include putting food on the table, paying essential utilities and ensuring their children remain at school to obtain an education.

About the Role

We are seeking a Strategic Projects and Reporting Manager to play a critical role in ensuring that our efforts are strategically aligned, impactful, and communicated effectively both internally and externally. Managing a team of technical specialists, you will lead the delivery of the organisation’s enterprise project management office, and lead the uplift of our reporting and planning frameworks and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning Support

  • Coordinate the development of corporate business plans aligned with the Group Strategic Plan.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design strategies reflecting the organisation's mission and long-term objectives.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of data-driven decision-making processes.

Enterprise Project Management

  • Lead and manage a hybrid Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), advising the executive on project investment and progress.
  • Ensure delivery of strategic projects in accordance with relevant legislation and best practices.

Reporting and Coordination

  • Develop reports on the organisation’s activity and impact
  • Coordinate data gathering and insights generation across the organisation for timely and accurate reporting.

Analytics and Insights

  • Lead staff to develop robust analytics capabilities to monitor progress towards strategic goals.
  • Translate data-driven insights into actionable recommendations for the executive team.

Advocacy

  • Support the design and implementation of an evidence-based Strategic Advocacy Plans.
  • Strengthen our external relationships, partnerships, and advocacy efforts.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven skills in project management, planning and project reporting
  • Demonstrated experience developing and coordinating plans and board level reports
  • Experience in strategic plan design, review and reporting
  • Demonstrated engagement, influence, facilitation and communication skills Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Collaborative team player with a proactive approach.
  • Ability to implement and embed frameworks across an organisation
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
