A Place to Create. A Space to Belong.

ABOUT STUDIO ARTES

At Studio ARTES, we believe in celebrating neurodiversity, individuality, and the power of creativity. We proudly support a diverse community of over 200 adults with disability — including people who identify as neurodivergent and those with intellectual, physical, and sensory support needs.

We are a not-for-profit organization offering member-led programs in the visual and performing arts, as well as life skills development. Since 2000, we've grown into a vibrant, inclusive community where creativity, self-expression, and personal growth are nurtured and celebrated.

Our approach is person-centred and strengths-based — guided by each Member's unique goals, interests, and ways of engaging with the world. With studios in Hornsby and Sydenham, as well as online and community settings across Sydney, Studio ARTES offers rich opportunities for Members to connect, create, and thrive.

ABOUT THIS ROLE

We're looking for an experienced and reliable Studio Coordinator to support the day-to-day running of our Inner West Studio.

Working closely with the Studio Manager, you'll help keep the studio operating smoothly — maintaining the systems and documentation that allow the Manager to focus on program delivery, staff support and service quality. You'll be a grounded, consistent presence for staff and Members, making confident day-to-day decisions within established guidelines and stepping up as the senior person on-site when the Manager is away.

Direct support work with Members is a genuine part of this role — not an afterthought. You'll work alongside them in studio sessions, contribute to their individual goals, and model good support practice for the team around you.

This is a hands-on coordination role suited to someone with solid experience in disability or community services, good organizational skills, and a natural ability to support and guide a small team. You don't need to have all the answers — but you do need to be someone the team can count on.

WORK HOURS

This is a part-time permanent role, working 3 days per week (approximately 8:30am–4:30pm). The role is based at our Inner West Studio.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Experience in disability, community services, or a related environment
  • Demonstrated experience supervising or leading a small team
  • Strong communication skills — comfortable with Members, families, and staff
  • High level of confidentiality, discretion, and professional judgement
  • Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively as part of a small team

DESIRABLE

  • Experience in an NDIS-registered organization
  • Familiarity with participant management systems (e.g. MYP)
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Australian Driver's License
