Role Overview: 

  • Provide regular, flexible, non-clinical support to service users that is sensitive, client-focused and community oriented
  • Assist service users to review their needs and resources to assist in the development of Client Support Plans
  • Support service users to build their own capacity to enable their recovery journey
  • Effectively use electronic client management systems including self-management of rosters and timely completion of case notes
  • Routinely perform outcome measures and other data collection
  • Attend and participate in case review meetings and professional development activities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Cert IV in a Community services related discipline (ideally a completed degree or Diploma)
  • Experience, skills and knowledge in working with people experiencing mental illness
  • Understanding of and ability to apply the principles of a recovery-oriented, person-centred, and strengths-based approach to service delivery
  • Ability to implement and facilitate capacity building activities with participants
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and work independently
  • Capacity to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and across a range of organisations
  • Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a Blue Card
  • Must hold a current /be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
  • Current driver's licence
