An exciting opportunity to join the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community High School Stars team in Western Australia. There are currently three positions available, with one full-time ongoing and two full-time fixed-term (parental leave coverage) contracts available.
Stars provides a holistic program that supports Indigenous girls and young women to attend and remain engaged at school, complete Year 12 and move into full-time work or further study. The Stars Room is available to all members and provides a culturally safe, warm environment – a place where the girls and young women in our program feel nurtured and inspired.
The full-time Program Mentors deliver a diverse range of activities to support the Stars students to develop the self-esteem, confidence and life skills they need to successfully participate in school and transition into a positive and independent future. Mentors work within the Stars team and established guidelines, policies and mission of the Stars Foundation to mentor students, whilst also being part of the broader school community.
