The Spelling to Communicate (S2C) Practitioner works one-to-one with nonspeaking, minimally speaking, and unreliably speaking individuals, supporting the development of purposeful motor skills and communication through the Spelling to Communicate (S2C) approach both in clinic and community based. This training role is performed under the guidance and supervision of an experienced S2C Practitioner, with ongoing mentoring, training, and professional support provided to ensure best practice and quality service delivery.
This position involves working a minimum of 15 hours per week across Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Additional hours may become available as the practice continues to grow and client demand increases.
This role requires strong interpersonal skills, patience, adaptability, and a commitment to neurodiversity affirming practice.
This role will be working 1:1 with spellers of all ages building the motor skills required for communication. During each 1hr session, an age appropriate lesson is the basis of teaching the motor skills required to develop communication. Training and supervision will be provided.
