OVERVIEW

Our client is seeking a versatile and dedicated individual to join their dynamic team on a Permanent Full-Time basis. This position will play a crucial role in enhancing this not-for-profit community-based organisation’s outreach, engagement, and visibility within the community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement strategies to engage with target audience and community stakeholders.
  • Organise and facilitate community events, workshops, and outreach programs.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with community partners, volunteers, and supporters.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute various events and activities, including fundraisers, awareness campaigns, and appreciation events.
  • Manage event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, budget management, and on-site coordination.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure events align with organisational goals and objectives.
  • Manage the organisation’s social media platforms and online presence.
  • Create engaging content for social media posts, blogs, newsletters, and other communication channels.
  • Monitor and analyse social media metrics to track engagement and effectiveness of communication strategies.

EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (eg. Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Social Media, Events Management) highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in community engagement, event planning, and/or communications preferred.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in social media management and content creation.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
