The Role:

The Fundraising Manager is an exciting, new role and key for our future financial sustainability. Using your extensive fundraising experience, you can really make this role your own and you will be well-supported by our senior leadership team.

The main goal for this position is to develop long-term revenue generation by developing and implementing our fundraising strategy. You will be responsible for coordinating all day-to-day aspects of the fundraising program, building relationships needed to secure financial support from members, supporters, businesses, philanthropists and government. This role is initially focused on Australia, and down the track we’d like you to help expand the fundraising program to other SISEAP countries.

About You:

This role will suit a fundraising professional with extensive experience. We are looking for someone who can develop an effective fundraising strategy for our organisation, and also be hands-on and be involved in the implementation on a day-to-day basis.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • 3+ years proven work experience in a similar fundraising role, including development and implementation of fundraising strategies.
  • Successful implementation of fundraising campaigns across individual giving programs, corporate partnerships and sponsorships, government and philanthropic grant programs, bequests.
  • Proven results in meeting and exceeding revenue targets and other KPIs using the latest fundraising techniques.
  • Ability to produce a budget linked to an action plan and provide regular reporting on progress.
  • Ability to create compelling fundraising marketing materials for various target audiences, including copywriting and design.
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft programs, database management, Google suite, Canva, Mailchimp and various social media platforms (especially Facebook, Instagram and Linkedin)
  • Outstanding communication skills, written and verbal, with strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence people, internally and externally, and be able to represent the organisation and its mission.

In addition, the following skills are desirable but not essential:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Website maintenance and editing experience
  • Event management experience

In recognition of the importance of this role, we offer:

  • Salary of $85,000 - $100,000 per annum (pro rata) including superannuation, based on experience.
  • Flexible working arrangements. The role is part time (21 hours per week) with great flexibility regarding the days and hours you work. You can choose to work from home anywhere in Australia, or from our bright office in Waterloo, Sydney, or a hybrid arrangement.
  • The commencement date will be negotiated with the successful applicant.

A 12-month contract is offered initially, with possibility of extension or a permanent role based on success.
