The opportunity

Silver Chain has a current vacancy for a Primary Remote Area Nurse for Hyden. This position will be placed on a full time basis 75 hours per fortnight. Part time hours will also be considered (minimum 5 day fortnight). The opportunity to deliver emergency, routine and non-emergency Nurse Care and clinical assessments. 

Key responsibilities

You will have well-developed interpersonal, problem solving and decision-making skills along with post registration experience in a Remote Nursing and Community Health setting, you will be required to work Monday-Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm, early finish on Fridays. There is an on-call element Monday to Thursday/Friday with alternate weekends off.

About you

  • 5 Years Post Grad Experience
  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • Advanced Clinical assessment skills
  • Experience in Emergency Nursing
  • The ability to Plan and implement holistic care for clients, family and community
  • Have sound knowledge of the principles of primary health care delivery
  • Compassion and enthusiasm, with a friendly approach
  • Excellent Communicational skills both Verbal and written
  • A current Australian driver’s licence
  • Ability to obtain a satisfactory National Police Certificate

Under the Aged Care act 1997, successful candidates will be required to provide a satisfactory National Police Clearance prior to commencement.

  • Qualifications allowance - Eligible employees with a post graduate qualification will receive an additional annual amount as a percentage of their base salary
  • 5 weeks annual leave plus 1 week remote leave. Option to purchase leave also (up to 2 additional weeks).
  • Comprehensive Silver Chain induction and orientation program before you start your post at Hyden. This includes our “buddy system”, usually taking place outside of Perth and expenses paid for travel and accommodation during that time.
