Sexual Health and Family Planning ACT (SHFPACT)

Do you have a passion for working with young people?

A passion for helping to foster a positive impact on future generations to have healthy, respectful, consensual relationships?

Come work at SHFPACT and help us make a difference!

We can offer you a chance to reach young people when they are eager to learn and to play an active role in helping them make important choices about who they want to be in the world and in their relationships.

Primarily your job will be providing school-based education programs about physical changes of puberty and consent, stereotypes and respectful relationships to students in Grade 3 -6. There may also be some school based work with high school and college students, and also teachers, around the same topics.

There is possibility for you to expand into work with people with disabilities either directly, or indirectly through supporting and educating their parents, carers, teachers and support workers.

You may be attracted/suited to this role because:

  • You are a teacher looking for a change in role
  • You are an educator/trainer looking to have more of an impact in your work
  • You are impassioned about these topics and are open to developing more formal skills

If successful, you would be part of a team of committed staff who provide high quality delivery of an excellent program.

We are open to negotiating flexible work arrangements (for example, working only during school hours during term times), and any other arrangements that might best fit your individual circumstances).

The flexibility we offer is in the interests of attracting long term staff who are committed to our goals and the work we do.
